As we continue to feel the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic around the globe, society has had to find better, more open ways for us all to discuss mental ill health. So for this issue’s article from the PET Archives we look to Howard Jones and his 1950s article on the mental health of teenagers. You can find out more about Jones’ life and career in our online catalogue: https://archives.mulberrybush.org.uk/records/JONES
Thank you to Nicky Hilton and Jen Galloway for unearthing such interesting items from The Mulberry Bush Third Space (MB3).
It’s not “PET” as is spelt above the scanned clips in the preamble it’s “PETT” with two ‘T’s re Planned Environment Therapy Trust.
Thank you for your interest in the post. Unfortunately the Planned Environment Therapy Trust (PETT) folded in 2018 and the ‘PETT Archive’ became part of the Mulberry Bush Organisation in 2019. To acknowledge the provenance of the service and it’s function as a collecting repository, the service is now known as the Planned Environment Therapy Archives. This is shortened to the PET Archives.
